SpringHill Suites by Marriott Savannah Richmond Hill

We got a flat tire and made a last minute reservation here. Taela the manager was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The hotel is only 3 years old and looks new and nice. Rooms are small but efficient! Late checkout was granted as we dealt with our car. Outdoor pool not open in January and gym lacked any stationary bikes and both ellipticals not working as only complaints. Nice breakfast spread and outdoor smoking area with seating.

I had the pleasure of being checked in by Dell, maybe the happiest Marriott employee I have ever met. She smiled continuously while multitasking on the telephone along with smiling with guests. Seems her name is Delinda - I told her it was a beautiful name, and she should wear it! Her cheerfulness was in total contrast to most hotel front desk people - she should be Marriotts example, and trainer, of how guest service should be! In the morning, she remembered me and welcomed me with a big smile. I will definitely stop at this facility when in the area. My room was clean and comfortable. I will be back again. I am a Titanium member, so she is right at the top 1%!

We had a really nice experience here so much so that we extended our stay. From the front desk to housekeeping we felt everyone was asking us how we were doing and if there was anything we needed. Anything we needed was take care promptly. We appreciate finding a hotel that’s not only clean but has friendly team members all around. Thank you Heidi in particular for helping us and being so responsive.

The trains that pass the hotel caused a little more vibration than I expected. They have EV charging listed, but it's only 1 charger which was in use every night we stayed there. Other than that, everything was great.

Very festive atmosphere! Management and front desk staff were very professional and accommodating. Angela is the BEST Breakfast Attendant EVER! Thank you, Angela, for your guest-focused, attentive and engaging service! Your kind of caring nature is what will bring be back!

We loved the hotel, fantastic, friendly and extremely helpful service, nice spacious and very clean rooms. I highly recommend staying here! A train does run close enough to the hotel, it can be view out the window. However, it didn’t bother us and the kids loved watching it from the window.

During arrival I was checked in by a host named Marcia she was very pleasant. I asked about a later check out since I got there late she asked me to see about it in the morning. I came down for breakfast and seen host talking to some kids yet those same kids where running all over the place, in the gym, all over the place with a dog(definitely didn’t know this was a “pet friendly” hotel.) I believed those were the host children. After my breakfast(their refrigerator is out so you do have to ask staff for certain items like milk, yogurt, etc. I just headed to my room. The staff don’t speak or greet much during the day time except the lady that was handling the breakfast(she had locs). I did call back down after I got back settled. While speaking to them to ask for the late check out the lady was very short and rude by saying no. I’m okay with a place denying a late check out but it’s about tone. Other than that my stay was pretty decent. I did have a great interaction at the end with my son and another host(Host with the mohawk).

Convenient I-95 Stop, but Bring Earplugs for the "Polar Express" The Good: • Location: Incredibly convenient for those traveling along I-95. • Ambiance: The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas, which added a warm, festive touch to our stay. • Staff: The team was friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. • Property: This is a standard, modern SpringHill Suites. The rooms and layouts are consistent with the current brand standards—clean and functional. The breakfast was exactly what you’d expect from the brand. The Bad (The "Polar Express" Experience): The major downside is the noise. There are train tracks literally 20 meters from the building. Trains run throughout the night, and the vibrations/noise make you feel like you're in the Polar Express movie. While festive for the season, it’s not ideal when you're trying to rest for a long drive. Important Note for Travelers: Be aware that the Google Maps coordinates are currently misleading (submitted correction to goole maps). The map shows the hotel much further from the tracks than it actually is. Marriott should explicitly highlight the railroad proximity during the booking process so guests can make an informed decision.
